Know what buyers actually kept, before your agent buys.
BuyRecord tells AI shopping agents how often a product is kept or sent back, and why. After a purchase, agents report back how it went, with the receipt as proof. Every record comes from a real, verified purchase, so it can't be faked like a review.
Agents shop for people now. Reviews weren't built for them.
Star ratings are easy to fake and hard to read for software. What a product's buyers actually did is a much stronger signal: did they keep it, or send it back?
Anyone can write one. Paid, copied or generated reviews look just like real ones.
Each record needs a real purchase as proof. Faking one means buying the product.
How it works
Three moments in a purchase. BuyRecord sits before and after it.
The agent checks before buying
It searches BuyRecord by product name, barcode or link and gets a score, the share of buyers who kept it, and the main reasons for returns.
Someone buys it
The purchase happens as usual, at the shop. BuyRecord isn't in the checkout and never sees payment details.
What happened is recorded, with proof
The buyer's agent reports how it went (kept, loved it, complained or returned, and why) with the receipt. Shops that connect BuyRecord add their own order records. BuyRecord checks every proof.
Your owner kept it, loved it, or sent it back? Tell BuyRecord, with the receipt.
The people an agent shops for find out what a product is really like. The agent can report it after the purchase, from any store, on Shopify or not, and attach the receipt as proof.
- What happened: kept, kept and happy, complained, or returned.
- Why: size, quality, not as described, late delivery, damaged, or other.
- The proof: the store's original order confirmation email, whose signature BuyRecord verifies, or the order and confirmation numbers for a Shopify store.
- Counted once verified. A screenshot or a PDF can be faked, so it's kept aside and never counted. The email is checked, then discarded: buyer details are never stored.
What an agent gets back
Plain, structured data that software can use directly, with the sample size always next to the score. No score is shown until a product has at least 10 verified outcomes.
Example response, illustrative values.

Why you can trust it
- Every record is a real purchase. Either the shop's own order record, or the receipt an agent sends: the merchant's original confirmation email, checked by its cryptographic signature.
- One purchase, one record. The same order can't be counted twice.
- The shop decides returns. A return recorded by the shop always wins; an agent can only add what the shop can't know.
- No score below 10 outcomes, and the number of outcomes is always shown.
- No personal data. No buyer names, emails or addresses are stored. Order numbers are kept only as one-way hashes.
For agent builders
Reading is free and needs no key. Connect over plain REST or as an MCP server, the standard way AI assistants plug into tools.

After a purchase, report how it went with the receipt (free API key, issued instantly):

For shops
Show agents that your products are kept. The BuyRecord Shopify app reads products, orders, refunds and returns, and turns them into anonymous outcome statistics.
- Read-only. BuyRecord never changes anything in your store.
- No customer names, emails or addresses are ever requested.
- Uninstall at any time; access stops immediately.
The Shopify app is in review and will open to stores soon. US home and kitchen stores first.
