Using BuyRecord from ChatGPT, Muse or another assistant
Looking up products needs no sign-in: ask your assistant whether a product is usually kept or returned.
Reporting a purchase needs a connection: your assistant opens a BuyRecord page asking you to allow it. No account is created.
A report counts only with a proof of purchase that BuyRecord can verify: the shop's order and confirmation numbers for Shopify stores, or the store's original confirmation email. See the methodology.
To remove a connection, disconnect BuyRecord in your assistant's settings, or write to us and we will revoke it.
API keys: self-service. MCP clients that cannot send a header can use OAuth (discovery at https://api.buyrecord.app/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource).
Shops
The BuyRecord Shopify app is read-only. Uninstalling it stops access immediately. Questions about your store's data: stephane.rix@buyrecord.app.
